In 2014 Chisholm Trail Parkway, a national freeway, opened linking the southern area of Fort Worth to the city center. The opening of the road created spurred a growth momentum in the entire area, which now includes a variety of environmental development projects in various stages of planning, construction, and population. The Dylan is part of a large environmental development project in the Southwest of Fort Worth called Summer Creek Station in which a railway station is planned. The surrounding area includes residential complexes of ground-floor apartments and a 70% Pre-lease shopping complex are currently under construction. Adjacent to the complex is a Seven Eleven, Walmart and a Starbucks. Within a commuting distance is the John Peter Smith hospital – a large medical center part of the JPS health system which includes hospitals and a variety of clinics and medical institutes. There are several universities in the city, including the prestigious Texas Christian University and Tarleton State University. Recently, another campus is under development within 1 mile of the project expecting approximately 5,900 students and Hundreds of staff. The project’s vicinity includes primary and secondary schools serving the residents of the area.
